In preparation for the 2015 NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Series, Don Walsh Jr and the Precision Turbo & Engine team are hard at work testing in Bradenton, Florida. Right off the trailer, their 2014 Twin Turbo powered Camaro met their expectations and more.
“We made one of our best eighth mile runs Tuesday,” said PTE President and car owner, Harry Hruska. “We went a few fast laps to the eighth that could put us in a #1 qualifying position for most races. One of the things we changed was spark plugs. We’re using new Brisk Silver Spark Plugs and we are really impressed with its performance.”
The weather is now playing a factor in how many passes the team gets in. The cold weather gripping the nation has made it too cold to race, so it’s giving them time to focus on servicing other parts of the car and trailer.
Hruska went on to add, “Hopefully we can get back on the track this weekend and test various parts on the car like a new lighter Quick Drive Unit and various torque converters we also have been testing Pure Power Oils and transmission fluids with great results! We hope to put the PTE Camaro in the Winner’s Circle this year.”
