The NHRA season may be over, but many drivers from the Real Pro Mod (RPM) Association are competing at the 10th Annual Street Car Super Nationals in Las Vegas this weekend for a $10,000 1st place prize.
Don Walsh Jr. leads the pack in the Precision Turbo & Engine 2014 Camaro. Walsh is #1 qualifier in the “Legal Pro Modified” class with a 5.74 elapsed time at 257 mph. Walsh was also the #1 qualifier at the NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas earlier this month.
Among the other RPM drivers in the 32 car field are: #2 qualifier Rick Snavely – 5.83et/253mph, #6 Kevin Fiscus – 5.89et/248mph, #7 Mike Biehle – 5.89et/249mph, #8 Jim Bell – 5.91et/238mph, #10 Eric Latino – 5.92et/243mph, #11 Mike Knowles – 5.94et/234mph, and #22 Steve Matusek 6.35et/241mph.
Heads-up eliminations get underway at 9:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time Sunday morning and the final round is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The first round pair-ups are: Walsh bye-run; Glandon v L Smith; Bell v Vogt; Oksas v Matusek; Snavely v West; Hairston v Costa; Yedgarian v Sachgel; Molinari v Durden; Lutz v Caciopp; Biehle v Walker; Latino v Dow; Bowman v Scialpi; Persen v Seth-Hunter; Fiscus v Thyr and Knowles v Sangha.
