Hebron, IN- June 8, 2016 – When PTP Turbo Blankets joined the Precision Turbo & Engine NHRA Pro Mod team this April, it was heading into the NHRA Spring Nationals at Royal Purple Raceway Park. Harry Hruska’s team was the defending event champions and ranked high in the field for a chance to repeat.
Fast forward to the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Series race at Englishtown, New Jersey this weekend, the defending event winner, Billy Glidden, is now at the wheel of the Precision Turbo & Engine Camaro with new sponsor PTP Turbo Blankets looking forward to their second race with the team in what has been an exciting 45 days.
The Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Mod team recently returned to its shop following on-track testing since repairs and updates have been made to the car following the Houston race. “We made some modifications to the Precision Turbo Camaro and are thrilled to have Billy Glidden piloting the car. He and his longtime supporter Mickey Thompson Tires, bring a lot to the team. We are also pleased to have PTP Turbo Blankets supporting the team again and would like to get a strong showing for them in New Jersey. I’m sure they have a lot of turbo accessory customers up in the northeast as does Precision Turbo & Engine, so we hope a lot of turbo fans come out to watch the team run and get autographs from Billy,” said Hruska.
Texas based PTP Turbo Blankets debuted as a sponsor of the Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Mod team at the NHRA Pro Mod race closest to their headquarters in Austin. They are excited to see all of the buzz around the team with new driver Billy Glidden for the Englishtown race. Billy Glidden and the Precision Turbo & Engine Pro Mod team take to the track starting this Friday, June 10th with their first qualifying session at 3:00pm ET.
