The Real Pro Mod Association (RPM) and its 20+ members of the fastest 1/4 mile door cars in the U.S. will hold their pre-season warm-up event at Palm Beach International Raceway beginning in 2016. The pre-season event will take place February 26-28, 2016, with a $20,000 purse being posted by the track in a 16-car qualified format. The testing and race takes place just a few weeks prior to the first NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Series event of 2016 in Gainesville, FL.
Pro Mod racer Danny Rowe, along with JEGS representative, Scott Woodruff, helped put the program together with Palm Beach International Raceway. Rowe, a member of the RPM Board said “Palm Beach is a perfect location for all of the RPM teams to prepare for the start of the season. Everyone loves the weather there in February, and with the track putting up a good purse for the weekend, the fans will get a great show of 250 mile-per-hour racing.”
Race fans are encouraged to come out and watch two qualifying sessions on Friday, February 26, two qualifying sessions on Saturday, February 27, followed by eliminations on Sunday February 28, where spectators will get to witness 16 of the best Pro Mods in the country compete for the grand prize. Race fans across the world will also be able to watch the action on Bangshift.com, which will live-stream the event. Between Pro Mod rounds fans can get driver autographs and merchandise, and also watch high-caliber bracket racing from some of the nation’s best Sportsman competitors.
