BELL / FISCUS RACING (BFR) drivers Jim Bell and Kevin Fiscus will be promoting the NSF 1 special project to support the Navy SEAL Foundation at the 15th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals on October 29-November 1, 2015 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada.
While competing at the event, both of the Bell/Fiscus Racing Pro Mod cars will proudly have NSF1 decals on board to support the Navy SEAL Foundation, and Bell and Fiscus will be signing special NSF1 hero cards. Established in 2000 to serve U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare (NSW) support personnel, and their families, the Navy SEAL Foundation provides a comprehensive set of programs designed to reduce the stressors associated with the tremendous amount of uncertainty and pressure that comes with life in Naval Special Warfare (NSW) by improving health and welfare, building and enhancing resiliency, empowering and educating their families, and providing critical support during times of illness, injury, and loss.
Knowing that SEALs spend up to 270 days away from home each year to execute our nation’s toughest military missions, Bell wanted to find a way to show his support of these special men and women. Bell’s automotive wholesale division of the JB’s Power Centre, Dix Performance North, is one of twenty members of AAM USA, Inc., the largest largest marketing program for retailers in the specialty automotive equipment marketplace. AAM has built a fully customized 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, known as NSF1, which was built to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation, and Bell was very proud to get involved.
AAM partnered with more than two dozen manufacturing partners to purchase the Jeep and outfit it with the latest aftermarket products showcasing the full power of AAM’s Jeep aftermarket lineup. AAM’s Special Markets Manager Greg Griffith oversaw the project’s concept, design and implementation with additional installation help from RPM Offroad (Edelbrock supercharger), Atomic City 4×4 (ring and pinion gears and chromoly axles) and Autopro of Nashville (custom Katzkin leather seat covers and KICKER audio upgrade).
Intended to represent the spirit of the Naval Special Warfare community, the NSF1 Jeep will be on display in the SEMA Show’s Central Hall. The show takes place on November 3-6, 2015 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. After completing a national circuit of appearances and Jeep events, including the 2015 SEMA Show, NSF1 will be handed over to the Foundation during a special ceremony at AAM’s 2016 Membership Meeting. The Foundation plans to use the vehicle at its various recruitment drives, publicity events and outreach engagements.
“I’m really proud to be able to support such a great project, such a great cause, and the Navy SEAL Foundation,” said Bell. “The U.S. is like a second home to me since I’m here so often for racing, business, and pleasure, and I’m especially grateful to the brave men and women who protect the country and its people.”
Both Bell and teammate Kevin Fiscus will be competing at the 15th annual NHRA Toyota Nationals Pro Mod season finale race at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada on October 29-November 1, 2015.
